Taster from ‘Sue Me’
by Amanda Hart
I used to believe life was something that happened to me. That I had no say in the circumstances unfolding around me. The chaos, the pain, the cycles I couldn’t seem to break, they all felt inevitable, as if I had been assigned a script I was powerless to rewrite.
But the truth is, life was always speaking to me. Guiding me. Whispering through moments of synchronicity, nudging me toward something greater. The problem was, I wasn’t listening – until I had no choice.
There was a night that changed everything. A moment so raw, so terrifying, that I could no longer ignore the deeper calling that had always been there. My heart pounded, my breath shallow as if the very air around me had thickened. The walls seemed to close in, the weight of my past pressing down like an unbearable force. I felt lost, completely alone, and yet – something was shifting. I stood at the edge of everything I had known, staring into the abyss of uncertainty, when I heard them. The Guys Upstairs.
Their voices weren’t loud. They weren’t commanding. They were simply there – steady, knowing, patient. They had always been there, in the background of my life, offering guidance I was too afraid to trust. The whispers in my dreams, the gut feelings I had ignored, the moments of inexplicable knowing – I finally understood, they had been speaking all along. You are not alone. You never were.
It was in that moment I realised the power we hold within us. That intuition is not just a whisper – it is a lifeline. That every challenge, every hardship, every moment of despair was not meant to break me, but to shape me. To prepare me for the work I was meant to do.
Looking back, I see now that my entire life had been a lesson in transformation. That night was not just a moment of awakening – it was the doorway to everything that followed. It was the moment I chose to stop running, to stop doubting, and to start listening. What came next was a journey of healing, learning, and ultimately, guiding others to do the same. A deep dive into what it means to trust, to surrender, and to reclaim the power we unknowingly give away. The journey wasn’t easy. It tested me in ways I never could have imagined. But it led me here – to the life I now live, guiding others through their own breakthroughs, helping them hear their own inner voice, their own ‘Guys Upstairs’.
We all have them. That unseen wisdom guiding us, if only we choose to listen.
Are you ready to hear yours?
